performance Ghost Signaling by Ondřej Kubeš, happened on the 22nd of July at 7PM in the installation Autochora by holo- at Jedna Dva tři Gallery in Petrohradská kolektiv.

Intimate, emotional and raw movements of Ondřej, sensibly explore the feelings of loss and solitude. In the current ecosystems, where different species grow in a symbiotic dialog, and where scent signals evolve over the centuries to attract a specific partner, what happens if one of the pair goes extinct?

Ghost Signaling is the act of continuing to send these evolved messages, even when the original recipient is gone. The signals become gestures into emptiness and a metaphor for mourning and break-up in the most universal, relatable sense.

In an environment filled with custom scent and objects made by holo- (Kamila Valešová & Michaela Cagáňová) and music created by Jan Durina, Ondřej was guided by the voice of SJU. Together with the surprise guest performer Victoria Oren (Miriama Kardošová).
